8.5/10 $32.25 Rosewood Lock, Stock & Barrel VQA Merlot Blend (Ontario). I had the chance to try this bottle over the weekend that was brought to a birthday party, and my only regret is that I didn’t get my hands on another glass to fully appreciate it! šš· Deep red in colour.
Dry and medium bodied. Warm and refined woody taste, with smooth and rich raspberry flavour. A really nice bottle that was bold and offered something to think about… not to mention the toasty flavours here gave me alllll the holiday feels āļø Totally reminded me of a fireside setting!
This wine definitely wasn’t at all what I was expecting from Ontario, and while I haven’t worked my way up to this price point yet (let’s be honest), I certainly can’t wait until we meet again!
