October 6, 2018 Review of: Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc

8.75/10 $19.95 Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand). Beautiful pale straw colour. Citrus floral scent. Very smooth and citrus tasting to start, with green apple/ melon/ pineapple flavours in the middle, followed by a crisp ending. I am pretty picky with my whites, and this one definitely makes the cut; I’ve enjoyed it on many occasions as it has a well-known cult following, and always seems to pop up wherever white wine fans gather! Would go great with seafood (like shrimp or mussels), but is also a solid choice on its own. If you are looking to pick up a bottle of something for a social night with friends, this is an ideal volume white that will carry you through to the Uber ride home 🏡🍷 .
