May 24, 2019 Review of: Vila Regia Douro Red

7.5/10 $9.00 Vila Regia Douro Red (Portugal). Deep ruby in colour. Smells fruity and of fresh strawberries. Extra dry and medium bodied with balanced acidity. Lots of tannins here and flavours of leather, cherry, red berries and cedar.
Both my family and I have purchased this wine many times over the years and it’s always been consistently decent and offered excellent value for the price… I mean, what more could you want for $9 ?!
Definitely let it breath for a few minutes in the glass before enjoying. Was great with some bread 🍞and our BBQ steak 🥩dinner.
