December 8, 2019 Review of: Porta Da Ravessa Red Blend

7.5/10 $12.95 Adega de Redondo Colheita Especiale Porta Da Ravessa (Portugal). Deep ruby in colour. Cherry, strawberry, and spice on the nose. Dry and light/medium bodied with medium tannins and acidity. Flavours of cherry, blackberry, spice and leather.

Overall my impression of this bottle was that it was on the lighter side. It’s smooth and fruit forward with lighter body and a good balance of acidity and tannins. It also offered a hint of bitterness and the flavours didn’t stick around for long, making it an ideal choice of wine to enjoy with food. A good compliment to any Portuguese or Italian dish!
