March 14, 2020 Review of: Angove Organic Chardonnay

6.5/10 $14.95 Angove Organic Chardonnay (Australia). Bright yellow in colour. Extra Dry and medium bodied. Fruity with flavours of citrus, green apple, and light oak.

The first few sips seemed very acidic and just reminded me of flat champagne… which kind of makes sense considering Chardonnay is popular grape varietal used to make champagne (although still not the goal here lol).

While it did grow on me over time, I found that it lacked balance and was not particularly smooth: there was a notable bite to it which was somewhat harsh.

Overall, I think the jury is (still) out on GREAT tasting organic wine. Someone please suggest a bottle that can convince me otherwise. As always however, I will keep looking for ya’ll.
