December 16, 2018 Review of: Bacalhoa Tinto da Anfora Red Blend/Cabernet Sauvignon

8/10 $11.95 Bacalhoa Tinto da Anfora Red Blend/Cabernet Sauvignon (Portugal). Ruby in colour. Smells of cherries. Dry and medium bodied. This one has an interesting balance to it, with medium acidity. Flavours of oak are present but take a back seat to the more prominent flavours of dark berries, blackberry and cherry. For the price, this wine is absolutely awesome and great value. Would pair well with grilled meats as it has a bit of a bite to it. Would definitely repurchase as a guilt-free weeknight wine.
