December 12, 2018 Review of: Chateau des Charmes Sauvignon Blanc VQA

7.5/10 $15.95 Chateau des Charmes Sauvignon Blanc VQA (Ontario). Pale yellow colour. Smells of green apple and lime. Light and citrus tasting with flavours of lime, apple, and especially pear.

While it is dry, there is something about the finish that resembles a hint of sweetness, so the aftertaste seemed a bit syrupy to me and was not as crisp as I was expecting. Acidity lingered but grew on me over time.

I enjoyed this one on it’s own (served ice-cold was much more preferable) and would definitely be open to drinking again, however would probably continue to explore other bottles first.
