April 12, 2015 – Review of: Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet

8/10 $14.95 Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet (Australia). Dark purple in colour. Oaky acidic smell. Dry and medium bodied. Can really taste plum/currant and oak. Recommended to me by two different friends, I enjoyed this one. Great flavor to pair with a steak dinner, and smooth enough that you will want to keep drinking afterwards. Expect to have very purple tongue and lips afterwards!
