July 18, 2018 – Review of: Gnarly Head Cabernet Sauvignon

8.25/10 $15.95 regular//currently on sale $12.95 Gnarly Head Cabernet Sauvignon (California). Smells of oak and berry. Medium bodied and not overly dry. I was trying to think of the perfect word for what it is that I was tasting, and it’s “jammy”. Tastes like blackberry and dark cherry pepper jam (if ever there was a thing) with a smooth but subtle spicy finish. Would go great with a steak or to enjoy alone. For the price, this wine has a lot going for it, and is a great value! I have tried another one of the Gnarly Head reds though, and I believe I had found it to be even better. Will report back! *Sidenote: my lips were purple afterwards, so probs not the look you’d be going for if planning on heading out!
