7/10 $14.95 Eastdell Gamay Noir VQA (Ontario). Light ruby in colour. Dry and light-medium bodied. Pretty smooth to start with sweeter jammy flavours of cherry and strawberry. I did find the ending to be somewhat bitter. Overall I did not mind it 👍however, my wine partner was not a huge fan 😜... Cheers! 🍷
January 23, 2019 Review of: Burnt Ship Bay Pinot Grigio VQA
7.5/10 $15.95 Burnt Ship Bay Pinot Grigio VQA (Ontario). Clear pale straw colour. Delicate citrus pineapple smell. Dry and smooth, with medium acidity that is enjoyable. Light, crisp and refreshing🍃. I was a little confused (flavour wise) with the first sip, but afterwards it became apparent that I was tasting mostly citrus flavours of lemon... Continue Reading →
December 12, 2018 Review of: Chateau des Charmes Sauvignon Blanc VQA
7.5/10 $15.95 Chateau des Charmes Sauvignon Blanc VQA (Ontario). Pale yellow colour. Smells of green apple and lime. Light and citrus tasting with flavours of lime, apple, and especially pear. While it is dry, there is something about the finish that resembles a hint of sweetness, so the aftertaste seemed a bit syrupy to me... Continue Reading →
November 19, 2018 Review of: Wayne Gretzky Baco Noir VQA
8/10 $15.95 Wayne Gretzky Baco Noir VQA (Ontario). Dark purple blackberry colour. Medium bodied and dry (but not overly). No where near as oaky as a Cab Sauv, and pretty dark tasting with flavours of blueberry, cherry and blackberry. Despite the dark flavours it is still smooth and very drinkable, with low tannins and manageable... Continue Reading →
November 3, 2018 Review of: Inniskillin Unoaked Chardonnay
8/10 $13.95 Inniskillin Unoaked Chardonnay VQA (Ontario). I'm at the Cambridge Mill for a friend's wedding this evening, and I must say that I am SUPER happy with this white wine that was offered, and also impressed with their choice of a Canadian VQA! October 7, 2018 Review of: Trius Rose VQA
9/10 $17.95 Trius Rose VQA (Ontario). Interesting reddish-pink colour with orange hue. When served ice cold, smells like a frosted cranberry. A very beautiful tasting Rose that combines the flavour of cranberry and strawberry with the perfect amount of acidity and ultra dryness, that is sure to please any red or white drinker alike at... September 29, 2018 Review of : Niagara Grape & Wine Festival
This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival in St. Catharines, Ontario, for the second time since 2015... and without a doubt, I had the greatest time! The festivities began at 11:00 am watching the Meridian Grande Parade with friends among a sea of purple and green attire.... Continue Reading →

7.5/10 $14.95 Lola Pelee Island VQA Rose (Ontario). Pretty label and alluring blush pink colour 😍 Semi-sweet with a playful level of carbonation that I was not expecting. November 2, 2017 – Review of: Wayne Gretzky Estates Merlot
7.5/10 $15.95 Wayne Gretzky Estates - Merlot VQA. Dark red in colour. A somewhat sweeter red (as Merlots usually are) that tastes fruity and of juicy cherries. This one is definitely for you if you if you are looking for something sophisticated but not too dry. I've tried a few of the Wayne Gretzky wines,... Continue Reading →
